Functional economy

The economy of functionality can be summed up in one simple concept: privilege use over possession. The emphasis is no longer on the possession of the good as such but on the use that is made of it.
 
The objective here is not to sell more to earn more but rather to sell better. Rethinking products from the moment they are designed to extend their lifespan. The principle of eco-design (pillar 2) is used here.
 
Whoever owns a property must also take care of the maintenance costs. It is therefore in his interest that his product lasts over time and is reliable.
 
The economy of functionality has several advantages: local job creation, better quality of service, more transparency, more sustainable use of resources…
