Eco-design takes into account the environmental impacts throughout the product’s life cycle and is integrated right from its creation.
It is based on life cycle analyses and identifies all environmental impacts
Eco-design is :
- multi-stage: intervenes in the different stages of the life cycle
- multi-criteria: material consumption, effect on climate and biodiversity, discharges into the natural environment, etc.
